"The Drupati’s experience starts with the doubles, a Trinidadian lunch time street sandwich of flat, fried bread and curried chick peas (channa). A dash of hot sauce brings some additional heat to the sandwich. The phulouries are another street snack — deep-fried pea balls that are served with a tamarind sauce.

The main attraction, of course, are the rotis and here especially Drupati’s has raised the bar for Trini-style cooking for the past 20 years. The menu offers a variety of options, including goat, lamb, chicken and conch.

Drupati’s also serves vegetarian versions with rotis stuffed with channa, dhall, or potato. Another popular item at the restaurant is the Bake & Shark, a dish from the beach island Maracas.
